Lake Geneva Schools selects CG Schmidt as the District’s construction manager as part of their long-range facility planning process. Lake Geneva Schools received formal Request for Proposal responses from numerous construction firms before ultimately selecting three firms to interview on Thursday, May 25, 2023. The recommendation to hire CG Schmidt was made to the Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union (Badger) High School Board on Monday, June 12, 2023, and the Lake Geneva Joint #1 School Board on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, for a formal vote of approval.
Lake Geneva Schools made the selection based on various important criteria, including a robust portfolio of similar K-12 education experience, cost-effectiveness, commitment to employing local subcontractors and laborers, reputation for quality construction, and commitment to engaging the community in an open, transparent, and inclusive manner.
CG Schmidt will be joining Groth Design Group, the architectural firm already engaged by Lake Geneva Schools, who has been analyzing the district’s current facilities, educational adequacy, and potential maintenance needs. Both firms have extensive histories working together with school districts throughout Wisconsin. Most recently, the integrated team completed community supported projects for Cedarburg and St. Francis school districts and is currently working together on Randall Consolidated School in Burlington.
As part of the long-range facilities planning process, Lake Geneva Schools will be soliciting input from community members early next school year.
